Tony Bazzini
ExxonMobil Global Projects Company

Tony Bazzini joined Exxon Research and Engineering's Cost and Schedule Engineering Division as a cost engineer in 1981 after receiving a B.E. in mechanical engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology. In 2013, he was named manager of the Project Management Division, expanding his responsibilities to include both refining and chemicals projects. Having worn many hats throughout his 38-year career with Exxon, he was appointed chief engineer–project management of the newly established ExxonMobil Global Projects Company in April 2019.

Ty Campbell
United Rentals

Ty Campbell is the director of sales for digital solutions at United Rentals. He and his team help firms leverage digital solutions to manage fleet and job cost related to equipment on jobsites where providing equipment data and the tools to use it is almost as important as the equipment itself. Prior to joining the equipment industry, Campbell was an airport planner and project manager with responsibilities in designing, planning and funding general aviation airport projects.

David Chapin
Willmar Electric

David Chapin is the president and CEO of Willmar Electric, which has offices in Minnesota, Nebraska and Oklahoma. He and his brother, Justin, represent the fourth generation of Chapins to own and manage the firm his great-grandfather started in 1920. Chapin was ABC’s 2016 national chair and currently serves as chair of the ABC Cornhusker Chapter. He serves on ABC’s National Legislative Committee and on the board of trustees for the NCCER.

James J. "Jim" Dimas
LG&E and KU LLC

Serving as in-house counsel since 2001 for LG&E and KU Energy LLC, Jim Dimas advises the commercial operations and project engineering departments on the preparation, negotiation and administration of contracts for work at company-owned and -operated electric generation sites. He partners with commercial, engineering and operations colleagues to develop and manage relationships with contractors under EPC and PC agreements. He previously worked in real estate, occupational safety and health, mergers and acquisitions, and finance law.

Dan Freese
United Group Services

Dan Freese is president of United Group Services. Founded in 1982 as an industrial piping company, United is now a series of industrial-focused companies providing construction, staffing and technical training services across the United States. He started with United in 1987 and was named president in 2002 as United began broadening its services. Being “born” in to the industry as the son of a second-generation pipefitter, he is focused on improving this rewarding industry.

Michael Hatton
Memorial Hermann

Michael Hatton, vice president at Memorial Hermann in Houston, manages facilities at a corporate level. With extensive experience in high-rise building management, medical office buildings and hospitals, he has been a key team member in the successful delivery of more than $1.5 billion of health care construction with $1 billion more in the pipeline. He holds ASHE’s FASHE and CHFM designations and has authored technical papers and presentations on emergency management, energy and engineering operations.

Andi King-Wieczynski
DPR

Andi King-Wieczynski, client relations manager for DPR Construction in Atlanta, has been an integral part in growing the business from $25M in revenue in 2008 to $256M in 2018, working with prominent clients such as the University of Georgia, Piedmont Hospital and the State of Georgia to accomplish this feat. As the first woman to sit on DPR’s Atlanta Business Unit Leadership Team, Andi builds a strong footing for other women within the organization.

Mark Mattox
Robins & Morton

Mark Mattox is an operations manager at Robins & Morton, where he oversees health care, education and commercial work for the company’s central division. Since graduating from Auburn University’s McWhorter School of Building Science, Mattox has been involved in more than 100 projects in his 23 years in the construction industry. His unique perspective stems from a comprehensive understanding of construction at every level and a variety of operational experience encompassing both field supervision and project management.

Scott Nelson
Advocate Aurora Health

Scott Nelson has spent 32 years working in the planning, design and construction of healthcare facilities. Having been on both sides of the architect-client table, he has served as the principal for national and international architectural firms and as a guide for the planning and design of projects for name-recognized hospitals and systems. Currently, he is the system vice president of design and construction and responsible for managing forward-focused projects for 28 hospitals and 500 additional care sites.

J. David Pugh
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP

J. David Pugh is a partner in the Birmingham, Alabama, office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, where he is part of the firm’s construction law practice group. He advises contractors, subcontractors, owners and developers on the development, design and construction process. Pugh holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Alabama and worked as a project engineer before earning his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Greg Sizemore
Associated Builders and Contractors

Greg Sizemore is the vice president of health, safety, environment and workforce development at Associated Builders and Contractors, a national construction industry trade association established in 1950 that represents more than 21,000 members. In this role, he oversees a network of 800 education programs and leads ABC’s health, safety, environment and workforce development initiatives. Sizemore is also responsible for ABC’s STEP safety management system, a benchmarking improvement tool that dramatically increases safety performance among participants

Laura Stipanowich joined Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals Inc. as a senior counsel in Houston in January 2017. She previously practiced with law firms in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, where she specialized in the areas of construction transactions, alternative dispute resolution and litigation. Laura has written articles, contributed to legal reference books and presented seminars throughout the United States. She attended the University of Virginia School of Law.

Dr. Kenneth Sullivan is an associate professor at the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment teaching advances in construction delivery and innovation. He specializes in construction delivery approaches, best value procurement, performance and risk measurement and organizational transformation. He has helped Fortune 500 companies and public organizations transform their construction services, including the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Salt River Project and Seattle City Light.

Lowell Woods is a partner with the law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister, LLP, with offices in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Arizona. Mike Casten

Mike Casten started his career as a carpenter’s apprentice before studying industrial construction management at Colorado State University.  Later, based on his experience as a project engineer, superintendent, production analyst, chief estimator, project manager and area manager for general contractors such as Hensel Phelps Construction, he founded Construction Concepts. Over the last forty years he has provided productivity improvement consulting services on projects of every size and type across the United States and in Canada, Mexico and Venezuela.

Jack Darnall

Jack Darnall is executive vice president of Brasfield & Gorrie. His 34 years of construction experience includes regional and divisional leadership roles and overseeing Brasfield & Gorrie’s healthcare division for 16 years. Under his guidance, the company has been ranked among the nation’s top healthcare contractors for the past 20 years. He served on the ABC national executive committee for seven years and as national chairman in 2006. He was previously ABC Alabama chapter chair.

Peter Dumont

Peter Dumont, past president of the Construction Users Roundtable, currently serves as executive liaison to CURT’s Operating System 2.0 (OS2) Initiative and is a consultant with the Premier Resources Group of Sizemore & Co. Brian Holmes

Brian Holmes is a 25-year veteran of Texas Health Resources. He is senior vice president of real estate development and deployment, overseeing facilities development and capital project management for all hospitals owned by THR and through its partnerships. He also leads system facility engineering and real estate operations for THR’s portfolio of medical office buildings. Prior to joining THR, Holmes served as an officer in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps.

Ed Luckenbach

Ed Luckenbach is the manager for Air Products and Chemicals’ Americas Field Execution Team, overseeing construction estimating, construction and commissioning. Luckenbach has 28+ years with Air Products in the areas of industrial gas plant engineering, design and construction. His career includes mechanical engineering of systems, large machinery engineering and commissioning and more than 15 years starting up air separation and HyCO plants. His passion is site safety, leadership and making the contractor workforce successful.

Greg Mohler

Greg Mohler serves as vice president of construction, real estate services and facilities at BJC HealthCare, where he is responsible for engineering design solutions, infrastructure, capital budgeting and health care construction across the organization. Previously, he was director of plant operations for Christian Hospital; director of construction for Christian Health Services; project director, director of construction and vice president for BJC. He focuses on diversity and inclusion and, serves on numerous related boards and councils.

Michael Purcell

Mike Purcell is vice president of operations for Skanska USA, a top modern health care builder and comprehensive health care program management firm headquartered in Dallas. Previously, he served as executive vice president and as chief operating officer of two offices of Skanska USA. With a degree in building sciences from Auburn University, Purcell’s experience covers the entire development life cycle of the project as both the construction manager and owner’s representative.

Kevin Sell

A 29-year veteran of the construction industry, Kevin Sell is the Chief Values Officer of United Group Services, a Cincinnati-based mechanical industrial construction firm that operates throughout the United States. Sell was a contributing author to George Burk's Value Centered Leadership and he co-authored the Voluntary Protection Program for Construction for the U.S. Department of Labor-OSHA. He currently serves as Chair of the ABC Business Development Committee and as a member of the CURT Workforce Development Committee.

With 34 years of experience in the electric and natural gas utility industry, Scott Straight, vice president of project engineering, manages the development, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning execution for all major capital projects at LG&E and KU Energy’s generation companies. Straight joined the company in 1984 as a mechanical engineer and has been part of nearly every major generation construction project the company has undertaken since—more than $8 billion in projects in the last 12 years.

Chris Wall

A 20-year veteran of the commercial health care industry, Chris Wall is the Dallas operations manager for healthcare at Brasfield & Gorrie, one of the nation’s largest privately held construction firms. His professional affiliations and industry involvement include Associated Builders and Contractors, the Texas Association of Healthcare Facilities Management, the Association of Medical Facility Professionals and the U.S. Green Building Council. Wall earned a bachelor of science degree in building science from Auburn University.
